Since I've been volunteering at Banardo's, I have turned in to a little bargain hunter. It's great working behind the scenes as you get to scope out all the awesome stuff. Although we aren't allowed to purchase things until they have been out on the shop floor for 24 hours, I am quite thankful that the younger girl hasn't really caught on to the whole 'charity shops rule' thing where I am based. So I get to pick up all the cool things the wonderful old ladies don't want to buy. Most things that come through the door have never been worn and still have tags on, or either in perfect condition. Like this dress and AMAZING real leather satchel that I picked up for an amazing £1.99 each. The only problem with charity shops is they don’t always have things available in plus sizes so it might be better to shop online for plus sized clothing.

Those are amazing finds! I really really love the polka dot dress. I used to work at British Heart Foundation and it was the same, no young girls to buy all the best stuff. I got some suede moccasins for like £1.50 one time, bargain! xx

ReplyDeleteThat dress is gorgeous and the colour really suits you. I can't believe the things people throw away these days, but I have to say charity shop baragin hunting is alot of fun, especially with finds like the ones you found.

ReplyDeleteThey're both gorgeous! Are you sure they were only £1.99 each though? The Barnados near me massively overprices stuff - £34.99 for an Oasis dress!

That dress is so nice!! I saw a bag like that in a charity shop a few weeks ago, went to get some cash out and when I came back it had gone, I was devestated. There is a town near me called Bargoed which has about 5 charity shops and they sell the best homeware, lovely tea cups, cake stands and a few good handbags
