A Beautiful Picnic

So after a very honest but poor review of Bumble & Bumble the other day, I wanted to share a few products with you that I swear by. Including a few I have used for years and some that I've started to appreciate recently, after all the beauty industry is huge and it can get confusing right, those Boots aisle's boggle me every time.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish, which I reviewed here is still amongst my favourite products of all time. I use it nearly every night along with my Eve Lom in the morning, it's an amazing product and so worth the money.

Avéne Skin Recovery cream is my favourite moisturiser of all time, the first time I used it was 6 years ago and I haven't looked back. As I have got older and refined my skin routine, I seem to be very lucky with my breakouts, but this is my life saver if I have one. Along with the ever changing weather...hot one week, gales the next, I swear by it in the winter!

Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream, I got with one of my Glossybox's and it is a dream cream. I use it after every shower or bath, smells divine and really works. Then again what do you expect from Clarins.

Now I can imagine you are all aware of Moroccan oil, considering it is all over the blogosphere and that's exactly where I discovered it. Smells lush, works great and a little bit goes a very long way, which is always great.

L'Occitane hand cream is divine, that's it really...I'd buy it for the smell alone to be honest, also the packaging is so cute and it lasts forever. Lavender and Rose are my favourite scents.

So that's it, a few of my favourite products that I recommend to you guys! Seriously though, buy the Avéne.

  2. Gem the whole new design/style of your blog is just gorgeous! I love the little B you've added to the top photo, it looks like it belongs in a magazine the way you've styled it, the same with the little handdrawn elements from your Bumble and bumble review. It makes your blog look super professional! :) xx

  5. I love the new layout, Gem!

I agree with you about liz Earle Cleanse and Polish- its a miracle product. My Mum's friend had cancer about a year ago and her skin was wrecked by the drugs and radiotherapy. She tried everything to try to get it better after she went into remission, but the only thing that wwas gentle yet effective enough was the Cleanse & Polish. Her skin is radiant now after just under a year of non stop usage. She says she will never use anything else!

  16. Have to admit I've always just bumbled on through with skincare as mine is sensitive but usually very soft, however have felt the need to refine it especially as I can afford to! Am also a Liz Earle fan, though admittedly it wasn't as miraculous as I'd hoped, I'm giving it time xo

  18. I've been really tempted to try the Liz Earle skin care routine for ages now and your blog reviews on their products have finally made me spend £40(!) to purchase them. I've only used them for 3 days but I'm already noticing a difference. Thank you :D!
