Blonde Ambition

I have had a battle with my hair, ever since my friend dyed my hair blonder when I was 15 and she did it wrong...cheers Miss Cowley. Ever since then I have dyed it dark, occasionally trying to head back to my natural colour. My hair is a natural blonde, more on the ash side with natural highlights. So without growing all of my colour out and having roots that would make me un-impressed, I have to hit the bottle. Bleach is very bad for your hair, but obviously I had to use it as a pre-lightner. I had this done professionally, as knowing my luck I would turn in to a huge bowl of carrot soup. I am very lucky that I only have to wash my hair twice a week, it seems to stay rather clean. But with heat styling, the bleach and other dye my hair was crying out for something to give it life. Enter Alterna.

With my bad experience with Bumble & Bumble products I was wary of trying another high priced brand, but this set has not let me down. With both shampoo and conditioner being purple it helps tone my hair and stops it going orange or brassy. The main thing I noticed when I opened the bottles, is that it smells of satsuma's, absolutely divine. It's free from Sulphate and Parabens, making me feel very confident that I am giving my hair a very natural treat and it has most certainly improved the quality of my hair.

The beauty balm and brightening mist are also great additions to my hair routine, I do use Moroccan Oil, so I alternate between the two in the week. People at work actually commented on my hair today, asking if I had dyed it another colour, so you can tell it's doing its job of improving the overall appearance of my golden mane!

Overall I am giving them an 8/10 and will definitely re-purchase.
