So January is shit. By the second week after Christmas payday, you've thought you were secure and went on an internet shopping binge. Only to discover you have 3 more weeks left until next payday. Discouraged you try and make new outfits out of old ones and invent Ke$ha chic...which you wear dancing to Ke$ha. You start eating crisps in the bath, because well - screw it. You've only managed about 8 glasses of water out of your 8 glasses of water a day new years resolution. You've hid the 30 Day Shred under 30 magazines you bought to cheer yourself up, only to feel more depressed by superstars sunning themselves in St Lucia. Basically, all you want to do is lie in bed watching re-runs of New Girl - pretending you are Zoe D and then catching your more Kat Von D reflection.
So I started a 10 point reminder system...to remind myself why I AM AWESOME. It's got me through 21 days of January, because you know the person described in the above paragraph isn't me.
1. I have boobs, boobs are awesome.
2. Bad hair days 0, woolly hat days 21.
3. That roll under my arse is starting to look less like a second arse, 1 & a half arse's ftw.
4. I am getting married this year.
5. My best friend wants to marry me.
6. I can eat 3 packs of crisps in a row whilst watching fat bodies...and not feel guilty.
7. I haven't flashed my foof to the world a la Anne Hathaway.
8. I haven't fallen over this year, yet.
9. I am not Heidi Montag (repeats).
10. I am going to Mexico in (enter day amount).
Try your own 10 points, you'll feel better.
Screw you January, I win.

I really like this, it really cheered me up. Sat in my work clothes, surrounded by laundry waiting impatiently for payday. I may have consumed almost 2 whole cheesecakes to myself this month but I feel relaxed and comfortable taking life at my own pace this year. LOVE&PEACE littlebearwolf xx

ReplyDeleteI love this! I will remember to do this on the days I am feeling a bit low. Heck I may even buy a notebook and fill it with positive notes like these. When im feeling down I'll reach for that notebook and remind myself how awesome I am! :-)

This made me LOL. 1 and a half bums FTW indeed! x
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome, I am hating January so far - no money, gained 5lbs, no motivation, freezing weather and nowhere near enough time to hide under duvets and watch films. I definitely need to make myself a list to cheer myself up! Also, Anne Hathaway WHAT? xo

ReplyDeleteLast night whilst texting you I gripped a cereal box between my thighs like a pony and scoffed the last without milk or crockery, whilst watching embarrassing bodies.
