Snow reason not to shine...

Oh hey! Isn't it chilly...I wouldn't know I'm back in bed muhaha, I'm appreciating the snow from my window. Today I thought I would share with you a few things I have been loving the past few cold months, a few skin saviours if you will. Along with a touch of sparkle that we all need in January! My skin hates the cold, my hands go dry, my lips chap and my face looks like boot leather. So I have to take every measure under the...snow to look half decent. Below are a few of my top winter must haves, along with a few other things I just adore.

Hair:  So my hair was looking a bit rubbish before Christmas, it had got really long and lank. So I decided to have a huge amount cut off & hated myself straight after, as always. I don't know why I ever have a fringe cut in, because I hate them with a passion, annoying things. Then along came the bad weather and my hair just got super dry and flat. So I have been treating it with my ever faithful Moroccan Oil and a few new products I discovered. To give it a bit of body I picked up the Elnett Heat Styling Spray, in Volume. It's super good and really does work but I feel it leaves a very, very slight residue feel to my hair- which I'm not fond of. So I mainly use it for when I'm going out, just to get that extra bit of Ooof.

I've also been using the V05 Miracle Mist, which really is worthy of the miracle title. Makes my hair not only smell divine, but leaves it so super soft. I would totally recommend it and will most certainly repurchase.

Skin: So if you have read my blog from the beginning you will know that both Eve Lom and Avéne Skin Recovery cream always appear. Both of those bad boys together are my dream team, the Avéne especially in the cold weather. Going from indoor heating, to cold blustery air does not do your skin any favours. I literally shed a tear when I run out of this stuff, I've used it all year round since I was 19. Nearly 8 years dedication - it must be good.

Eve Lom is like heaven in a jar, I can tell immediately when I run out as my skin does a complete 360 on me. A lot of people compliment me on my skin, sometimes even saying it's flawless (trust me it's not). But this stuff makes all the difference...this and Benefit Girl Meets Pearl ;). It's moisturising, enriching and I never get bad skin if I use it morning and night. I would recommend it to anyone with troubling skin, dull skin or dry skin. It also lasts a good few months that little pot, as you only need a pea sized amount to get every ounce of make-up off. Another product I have dedicated myself to for years now.

Another thing I live for in winter is Lush Lip Scrub, obviously in bubble gum flavour. That pink sugar does wonders for chapped lips, rub it in and then finish with a huge smothering of Rosebud Salve and you'll have pretty lips all season.

Scent: Royal English Daisy by Yardley captured my heart after I received a sample in my JolieBox (now BirchBox). I immediately ordered a 100ml sample, costing me only £11, it smells of spring and I just adore it. It has helped my mind wonder to daisy filled fields whilst trudging through slush and snow. It's a very delicate scent and doesn't last for ours like other perfumes, but it's lovely to have in your handbag.

P.s That beautiful sparkly brush roll, I picked up at Forever 21 Chicago. It's been brightening up my make-up bag ever since.
